This antenatal information is for women not requesting homebirth or hospital birth support. Whether it is a one-off consultation or your entire pregnancy care, I am here to meet your antenatal needs. Whether you are early on with nothing but an exciting, positive pregnancy test, or you are further along in your journey, I can visit you in the comfort of your home and provide the care and support your looking for. This is available for women living in Cairns. (Homebirth packages can service women further away, in surrounding regions. Such as the Cassowary Coast, Port Douglas, Mossman, Atherton Tablelands).

As an Endorsed Midwife I can order pathology, ultrasounds and prescribe within the scope of Midwifery. I consult with and refer to other health professionals to support your care according to the Australian College of Midwives Guidelines for Consultation & Referral.

Prices:

Long consultations where thorough discussions are had about your health & pregnancy, as well as your unique physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs. These appointments can be for complex needs, birth planning, education or anything that needs the extra space time can give! Pathology and ultrasounds can be ordered or reviewed.

$220 (Medicare rebate $113.45, out of pocket $106.55)

Standard antenatal consultations to support your pregnancy.

$180 (Medicare rebate: $75.65, out of pocket $104.35).

I offer homebirth as a package of care where I see you throughout your pregnancy, attend your birth at home and support you up to 6 weeks postnatally. This is available to women living in Cairns and surrounding regions such as the Cassowary Coast, Port Douglas, and Atherton Tablelands.

I can order pathology, ultrasounds and prescribe in the scope of Midwifery. I tailor your care to your needs and preferences and consult and refer to other healthcare providers according to the Australian College of Midwives Guidelines for Consultation & Referral. You always remain the one leading the direction of your care.

I am on call from 37 weeks for labour & birth. You will also meet the second midwife who will be present at your birth alongside me.

You have your appointments & birth in the comfort of your home. Your Eden.

Included in the package is a birth pool on loan to use for birth and a TENS machine also. All telephone consults are bulk billed for Medicare eligible clients.

Potential additional costs:

If you live over 30kms from Midwifery in Eden.

Entonox (Nitrous oxide & Oxygen) is available when arranged prior to labour.

The out of pocket cost is approximately $5400 after Medicare rebates. This includes your second Midwife fee.

The full fee for your care before Medicare rebates is $6500 (+ 900 for your second Midwife). Payment may be made in installments under an agreed payment plan. Rebates will then be processed after each antenatal and postnatal appointment.

I offer planned hospital birth support as a package of care where I see you throughout your pregnancy, attend your hospital birth as a support person, and support you up to 6 weeks postnatally. This is available to women living in Cairns.

I can order pathology, ultrasounds and prescribe in the scope of Midwifery. I tailor your care to your needs and preferences and consult and refer to other healthcare providers according to the Australian College of Midwives Guidelines for Consultation & Referral. You always remain the one leading the direction of your care.

I am on call from 37 weeks for labour & birth at your chosen hospital and can provide early labour care in your home if suitable. This can be great when deciding the right time to go into hospital.

You have your appointments in the comfort of your home, your Eden.

Included in your package is a TENS machine on loan if desired. Payment plans available and all telephone consults are bulk billed for Medicare eligible clients. Payment plans available to suit your needs.

Potential additional costs:

During labour/birth after 12hrs of support an additional $80/hr

This postnatal information is for women not requesting homebirth or hospital birth support. Woman centred, postnatal care for you and your baby at home. I can care for you up to 6 weeks postnatally with as many or as little appointments as you need. Available for women living in Cairns.

I can come alongside you as you adjust to life with your new baby, and growing family. In the postnatal period, sometimes called the “fourth trimester” women’s bodies recover from pregnancy and birth and adjust to meeting the needs of their baby who is now earthside! Not only this, mothers can also move through any emotions from the birthing experience and early days with the new baby. The whole household shifts into a new stage of life and regular home visits from a Midwife can help you and your family feel confident and supported.

I can order pathology if needed, and can prescribe within the scope of Midwifery, this can include contraception if desired.
